WHOSE JOB IS IT?
Our Job - The Repair Facility
* Answer your questions and address your concerns.
* Return your repaired vehicle to you as quickly as we can while maintaining safety and quality.
* Explain the repair process.
* Note: some repairs are complex and there are variables we cannot control, such as: parts availability, insurance response time to requests, what an insurance company will pay for, etc.
* Explain our payment policies, including when payment is due.
* Have the equipment and training necessary to properly repair your vehicle.
* Provide a timeline for repair of your vehicle, and keep you informed of changes to that timeline.
* Provide a written warranty.
* Charge a fair price for our services, and provide you with an accurate final invoice.
Your Job - The Vehicle Owner
* Report the claim to the insurance company.
* Review your policy and contact your agent or insurer with any questions.
* Claim only the damage that is related to the loss.
* Take your vehicle to the repair facility of your choice.
* Keep scheduled appointments.
* Ask if you have any questions during the repair process.
* Pay your deductible to the repair facility when applicable. If you’re happy, please tell others; if not, please tell us.
Their Job - The Insurance Company
* Process and pay your claim in a timely fashion.
* Make you whole, as good as before the accident.
* Inform you of your right to choose a repair facility, and not require you to do business with any particular repair facility.
* Follow the policy issued to you (when your insurance company is paying the claim). i.e. Regarding use of non-OEM parts, use of aftermarket, used, or recycled parts, depreciation of worn parts, rental car coverage, etc.
* Respond quickly to requests from you and the repair facility.
* Answer questions regarding rental vehicle replacement policies.
* Ensure that payment for repairs and supplements has been arranged by the time the vehicle repair is completed.
